Srinagar, Mar 1: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) is organizing 8th Technology Exhibition-cum-Seed Sale Mela on March 4 to 5 here.
The mela is being organized by SKUAST-K under the theme “Subsistence to Sustainable Commercial Agriculture” at the Shalimar campus to demonstrate the latest agri technologies products and planting material seeds/breeds varieties developed by the university.
The mela is likely to be attended by about 2 lakh people from all walks of life. Some of the major highlights of the event include a technology demonstration, showcasing SKUAST-K innovations and startups, next-gen farming solutions, an expo of champion commercial farmers, an agri-industrial expo, farmers-scientists interface, awareness about centrally-sponsored schemes, exhibition of ethnic and cultural diversity, participation of NGOs, SHGs, FPOs enterprises, sale of quality seed/planting material and agri-products.
Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to Lt. Governor, J&K will be the chief guest on the occasion.
