Srinagar, Apr o7: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) under the ambit of IDP and SKIIE Centre conducted a pitching session for budding early-stage innovators of the university from various faculties and divisions.
The pitching session was joined by Dr Ameetya and Ms Anchal from Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre IIT Kanpur and other officials from IIT Kanpur. During the session, Beenish Gulzar, Aquib Ahmad Bhat and Haamiya Sidiq from the Division of Food Sciences and Technology mentored by Dr Sajad M Wani and Naveed Hamid; Bushra Naaz from the Division of Vegetable Sciences mentored by Dr Aijaz A Malik and Naveed Hamid; and Tahoora from Division of Floriculture and landscaping SKUAST Kashmir mentored by Prof Imtiyaz T Nazki and Naveed Hamid participated and pitched their early stage ideas in front of the jury members.
The aim of this pitching was to create improvement, generate revenue models and develop relationships for taking the ideas to the incubational stage and later commercial level, the university said in a statement.
The pitching session was coordinated by Naveed Hamid, BDA Innovation Cell IDP SKUAST Kashmir under the guidance of Prof Haroon R Naik, Director Planning & Monitoring and Prof Azmat Alam Khan, OSD to VC and Co PI NAHEP SKUAST Kashmir.
