SKUAST-K conducts Naat & Qirrat Competition

Srinagar, Apr 06: A University level Naat and Qirrat competition was organized across all the faculties/colleges of the university where a large number of students were present along with the participating students. 
The programme was attended by Prof (Dr) M A A Siddiqui Director Education & Dean Students Welfare SKUAST-K, Prof (Dr) T H Masoodi Director Research & Registrar, Deans, Associate Deans, OSD to VC, HoDs of various Divisions, Officers of the University including Mr Parvez A Bhat (Dy Registrar) & Mr. Aslam Parvez (Dy Registrar), Student Welfare Officers from all the faculties/colleges along with students. Prof (Dr) T H Masoodi highlighted the importance of conducting these activities for the overall development of the students in order to help them in becoming a responsible citizen. Prof. (Dr) M. A. A. Siddiqui, welcomed the guests. He apprised the audience about the importance of the competition and gave an insight into the teaching of ProphetPBUH.
He sensitized the participants with the responsibility as a citizen and towards society in order to become a good human being. He congratulated student participants & stressed the need to inculcate moral values among them. The top three positions for the Qirrat competition were secured by Umar Farooq (First), Shahid Manzoor (2nd ) and Iqra Ramzan (3rd ). 
The top three positions for the NAAT competition were secured by Jannat Javed (First), Saveera Mehroosh (2nd ) and Syed Shoib (3rd ). The competition was evaluated by a well know Naat Khawan Jenab Abul Hassan Faroqui. He appreciated the students for showcasing their talent and congratulated all of them for participating in the event.
