Six persons held for illegal excavation & transportation of minerals in Budgam

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday seized 06 Tippers and arrested 06 persons for illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

 

A Police Spokesman said, “During naka checking at Mirgund, police party of police station Budgam intercepted 03 tippers carrying illegally extracted bed minerals. Accordingly, police party seized 03 tippers & arrested 03 persons on spot.They have been identified as

Adil Hussain Bhat S/o Mohd Abdullah bhat R/o chadipora, Sarwar Hussain Mir S/o Gulzar Ahmed Mir R/o kakan Maran, Anees Ahmad dar S/o Bashir Ahmed dar R/o tikipira.Registration numbers of seized vehicles are;-JK04/9483, JK03J/5840 and JK04/3556.”

 

Similarly, Police station Chadoora seized 03 Tippers at Chadoora Bazar who were carrying soil illegally extracted from Government land at Chadoora. All the three tippers were seized and drivers arrested. The arrested drivers have been identified as Shabir Ahmad Dar S/o Habibullah Dar, Tanveer Ahmad Goroo S/o Riyaz Ahmad Gorro and Nisar Ahmad Dar S/o Mohammad Ramzan Dar all residents ofKhawaja Bagh Maloora Sgr.Registration number of Seized tippers are: JK01AB 6272, JK01T 6421 and JK08A 6887.

 

“Case FIR numbers 05/06/07/2023 and 07/2023 under relevant sections of law stands registered against the accused persons at Police station Budgam and Police Station Chadoora respectively and investigation set into motion”, he said.
