Anantnag, Mar 20: The Anantnag Kishtwar road via Sinthan Top will open for one-way traffic on Thursday, officials said.

He said that Sinthan Pass is one of the first high-altitude passes accessible to traffic after about a month of frequent snowfall in the region.
The Sinthan Top is situated at an altitude of around 13000 ft above the sea level.
The traffic will start from Thursday, the March 21st, contingent upon favorable weather conditions. One-way traffic will be facilitated along this route. The corresponding traffic advisory will be disseminated by the Inspector General of Traffic, Kashmir, he added.
As per advisory by traffic department for the Kishtwar- Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244, subject to fair weather and good road condition, only one way traffic for LMVs with anti skid chain from Kishtwar towards Anantnag shall be allowed on Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road.
“These vehicles shall be allowed from Chingam (Chatroo) at 0900 hrs upto 1200 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing,” advisory reads.
