Shri Raghunath Ji aarti to boost Jammu’s spiritual tourism & economy: LG

JAMMU, FEB 16: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today attended the Shri Raghunath Ji Ki Jammu Aarti at the Shri Raghunath Ji Mandir Chowk, commending the efforts of the Shree Raghunath Ji Corridor Vikas Council for bringing the sacred and divine ceremony to Jammu, a tradition that has been celebrated at the Ganga Ghats of Varanasi and Haridwar.
Speaking at the event, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted that the Shri Raghunath Ji Ki Jammu Aarti will not only become a major attraction for tourists and spiritual seekers but will also provide a significant boost to the local economy. “This ceremony is bound to enhance Jammu’s cultural and religious significance, and it will bolster the local economy,” LG Sinha said.
In his address, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that Jammu is not just a city of temples but a vital hub of India’s eternal culture. “Jammu is a symbol of our faith in Sanatan Sanskriti. It is a pilgrimage for seekers, a manifestation of divinity, and a testament to the self-confidence of India. It is the center of our heritage and the soul of our traditional values,” he added.
LG Sinha further expressed that the sanctity of Jammu is deeply embedded in the soul of every Indian. “The spiritual and cultural sanctity of Jammu is a cherished part of the national consciousness,” he remarked.
The Lieutenant Governor also reiterated that the all-round development of Jammu, including the welfare of its business class, shopkeepers, workers, entrepreneurs, and transporters, is a top priority of the administration. “The progress of Jammu’s citizens, from the business community to everyday workers, is central to our administration’s agenda,” LG Sinha stated.
On the broader impact of the Shree Raghunath Ji Corridor Vikas Council’s initiative, the Lieutenant Governor assured that it would bring a transformative change to Jammu, ushering joy and prosperity into the lives of its common citizens.
