Jammu, Sept 28: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu & Kashmir unit chief Manish Sahni held a campaign on Saturday in support of party candidates Rajesh Kumar from the Jasrota assembly constituency in Kathua district and Meenakshi Chhibber from Jammu West. He urged the people to vote for Shiv Sena (UBT) candidates to restore their rights.
Sahni in a statement accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of betraying the Jammu division. He highlighted issues such as terrorism, drug abuse, unemployment, inflation and rising crime.
“The prevalence of liquor shops, illegal extortion and the mining mafia are due to the BJP rule. In the name of Jammu & Kashmir, the BJP has advanced its political agenda across the country. They couldn’t even field candidates in one-third of the seats here,” he said.
The Shiv Sena leader expressed confidence that the people of Jammu & Kashmir would hold accountable those undermining the state’s status, identity, and the rights of its residents. “Kashmir has completely rejected the BJP; now it is Jammu’s turn,” he said.
