Srinagar, Aug 12: Janata Dal (United) J&K President G M Shaheen on Monday met with Jamiat Ahle Hadith President Dr Abdul Latif Alkindi and his team to discuss the current scenario in Jammu and Kashmir and explore various development initiatives. The discussions focused on critical areas such as healthcare, education, and combating drug abuse.
The conversation emphasised the urgent need for the development of hospitals and schools in the region to improve healthcare and educational infrastructure, the JD(U) said in a statement issued here.
“Both leaders expressed deep concern about the rising drug menace in the state. They agreed on the necessity of comprehensive strategies to address this issue and safeguard the youth from its detrimental effects,” it said, adding, “The meeting concluded with prayers for lasting peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to working towards a peaceful and developed region.”
Shaheen highlighted the importance of collaboration and continuous dialogue with community leaders and organisations to foster development and ensure a secure future for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir. He thanked Dr Alkindi and his team for their valuable insights and contributions towards the state’s progress.
