Shaheen-led delegation calls on Dr Farooq

Srinagar, Aug 29: A delegation from Banihal, led by candidate Sajjad Shaheen, called on the National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah at his residence in Gupkar on Thursday.
During the meeting, several members from the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) and Apni Party joined the National Conference, the party said in a statement, adding that before this meeting, the delegation had a “fruitful” discussion with NC Vice President Omar Abdullah at his residence.
Addressing the delegation, Dr Farooq stressed the importance of unity within the party. He urged members to work tirelessly for the success of party candidates.
“Every corner of the constituency will receive equal attention and development,” the NC Chief added.
The Banihal delegation also included DDC Chairman Dr Shamshad Shan.
