Ganderbal, Nov 11:- The 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh highway reopened for traffic on Friday after remaining closed for three-days due to heavy snowfall.
The official said that following fresh snowfall near Zojila pass, Meenmarg, Gumri, Captain mode, Shaitani Nallah,and other dangerous places on Tuesday the highway was closed for traffic movement as a precautionary measure.
Around five to six inches of fresh snow had accumulated on the Zojila pass,Gumri,and Zero Point, added the officials.
Traffic police authorities said that after the road was cleared, the traffic was allowed after which the stranded vehicles moved to their respective destinations.
