Sex racket busted in Handwara, 5 arrested

Srinagar, Apr 25: Handwara police have made a major breakthrough in their fight against immoral trafficking in the area, after busting a sex racket on Monday.
According to police “Acting on a tip-off from reliable sources, a search party conducted a raid on the house of Shabir Ahmad War, where a sex racket was found to be operating.”
They said “Five arrests were made on the spot, including the house owner and his wife, one sex worker, and two customers who have been identified as Rayees Ah Lone, of Dangerpora, Rafiabad, and Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, of Binner, Baramulla.
An amount of cash, approximately Rs. 47,800/-, was also recovered from the scene.
The police have registered an FIR under relevant sections of the law at PS Kralgund, and an investigation has been initiated.
