Reasi, Sep 25: The District Administration Reasi, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik, continued its activities on the 9th day of the Sewa Parv 2025, with the spirit of “Service before Self.”A statement issued here said that the Social Welfare department, in collaboration with Mission Poshan and the Police Department, organized an awareness programme on child rights and the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan. An awareness camp was also held to assist people in applying for various welfare schemes. The School Education Department, in convergence with the Health and Social Welfare Departments, conducted basic First Aid training workshops for students and teachers. A total of 791 schools participated, covering 48,251 students, thereby equipping them with essential life-saving skills. The Rural Development Department (RDD) organised “Ek Din Ek Ghanta Ek Saath” cleanliness drives across all 153 Panchayats, promoting collective action for sanitation and hygiene.The Horticulture Marketing & Planning Department held an awareness camp and workshop at the Fruit and Vegetable Market, Reasi. A large number of farmers, FPOs and cooperative members participated and were sensitized about departmental schemes and initiatives. The Municipal Council, Reasi (MC Reasi) carried out multiple activities including a cleanliness drive at Kalka Mata Mandir stairs, a plantation drive in Ward No. 3 Nai Basti, wall painting on the AMRUT theme at Wazir Bowli, enforcement of the single-use plastic ban at Bus Stand Market and awareness on Angikaar PMAY 2.0 along with door-to-door waste segregation. In addition to these initiatives, other departments also continued their outreach and welfare activities. The 9th day of Sewa Parv 2025 in Reasi was marked by collective departmental efforts and community participation, further strengthening the district’s commitment to public service and social welfare.
