Jammu, Dec 08: Riding on superb display of skills by almost all the bowlers and batting brilliance by skipper Jasia Akhtar and Rubia Syed, clinical Jammu and Kashmir crushed minnows Sikkim in a one-sided affair by 9 wickets in the ongoing Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy at Aditya Academy Ground, Kolkata on Sunday.
Earlier, put into bat, Sikkim bundled out for a paltry total of 68 runs in the 32.1 overs.
Subba top scored with 21 runs off 48 balls studded with 2 boundaries, while Leeza (10) was the only other batter to touch the double figure mark.
Right-arm off-spinner, Rudrakshi Chib was the most successful bowler for J&K, who took 3 wickets by conceding 8 runs in her 3 overs, while left-arm seamer Sarla Devi and leg-spinner Ananaya Sharma bagged 2 wickets each. Medium pacer Chitra Singh Jamwal, Off-spinner Sandhya Sayal and Speedster Rubia Syed claimed one wicket each.

In reply, J&K chased the target easily in 8.5 overs by losing one wicket, thus winning the match by 9 wickets
Skipper Jasia Akhtar top scored with power-packed unbeaten 37 runs off 25 balls studded with 5 fours and one six, while Rubia Syed contributed 27 runs off equal number of balls with 4 boundaries. Chitra Singh remained unbeaten on one run.
It may be recalled that J&K thrashed formidable Baroda easily in a high scoring game and did reasonably well against strong Railways team in another outing so far in the tournament.
