Srinagar, Mar 06: The Government on Monday posted Nitish Kumar (IPS) as Inspector General of Police CID J&K with immediate effect in the interest of administration.
As per the order by the Home Department J&K, Nitish Kumar IPS, awaiting orders of posting, is posted as Inspector General of Police, CID, J&K, vice Mahendra Nath Tiwari, IPS.
Mahendra Nath Tiwari, IPS, Inspector General of Police, CID, J&K has transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police, armed, Jammu, relieving Mukesh Singh, IPS, of additional charge of the posted.
Earlier on Feb 10, The Ministry of Home Affairs has posted senior IPS officer Nitish Kumar to Jammu and Kashmir following his repatriation from the central deputation.
IPS Nitish Kumar has remained at prolific posts in J&K and also served DIG North Kashmir Range, Baramulla, DIG South Kashmir Range in Anantnag in 2016.
He has also attended the Second Module of the Two Years Masters Course in Anti-Corruption Studies at International Anti Corruption Academy (lACA), Vienna, Austria with effect from 8th February, 2016 to 19th February, 2016.
Before being transferred to Jammu and Kashmir, IPS Officer Nitish was serving at National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Earlier in September 2017, four IPS officers from Jammu and Kashmir including Nitish Kumar had proceeded on Central deputation and in 2020 he was empanelled as Joint Secretary in Government of India.
