Bandipora, June 09: Secretary Rural Development Department, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, on Friday paid a daylong visit to Bandipora district where he inspected PMAY(G) verification camps being conducted in Arin, Boonkote and Aloosa blocks.
The Secretary, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development Bandipora Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, ACP Bandipora and BDO Arin, inspected PMAY (G) verification camp at Panchayat CA Khan, block Arin and took a detailed stock of different parameters associated with the scheme.
During the inspection, the Secretary issued specific directions pertaining to the inclusion of all eligible beneficiaries figuring in the Permanent Wait List (PWL) after following due process and procedures. He emphasized achieving saturation under the said scheme. He stressed upon the concerned authorities to adopt a participatory approach by taking all stakeholders on board.
He reiterated the commitment of the Central government towards providing houses to all houseless saying that the scheme shall be implemented in a transparent and accountable manner.
Tariq Zargar also inspected the verification camp in Block Bonkoot, Panchayat Athwato, where he took a comprehensive review of the ongoing PMAY-G registration process. Later, he inspected Amrit Sarovar sites at panchayat Guzarbal.
The Secretary also inspected the ongoing PMAY-G verification camp at panchayat Kehnusa, block Aloosa. He exhorted upon the concerned authorities to complete the verification and registration process of eligible genuine beneficiaries in time.
