Secy Culture for early functioning of Abhinav Theatre

Jammu, Feb 15: Secretary, Culture Department, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah on Wednesday called for expediting the process of renovation and functioning of Abhinav Theatre.
While visiting the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) and Abhinav Theatre here, Dr. Abid discussed in detail the issues concerning the revival of Abhinav Theatre. Special Secretary, Trishla Kundal; Officer on Special Duty, Toufail Matto; Additional Secretary, JKAACL and other officers of the Culture Department accompanied the Secretary during the visit.
On the occasion, Dr. Abid interacted with the officers and officials of the JKAACL and heard their grievances patiently. He expressed serious concerns about the long-pending promotions and recruitments in JKAACL. He also interacted with the artists present there and listened to their feedback and concerns to get a holistic viewpoint of the issues.
While inspecting the Abhinav Theatre, the Secretary asked the concerned officers to expedite the process for renovation and functioning of the theatre.
