Jammu, Nov 18: In the aftermath of the elimination of a terrorist in Rajouri on Friday, the joint Combing and Search Operation (CASO) led by the Army, J&K Police, and the CRPF entered its second day in the Behrote Budhal area of Rajouri district in the Jammu region. Police officials disclosed that the body of the deceased terrorist has been recovered. Yesterday, security forces engaged in an encounter with terrorists in Rajouri district, resulting in the killing of one terrorist.
“The body of the slain terrorist has been recovered, but his identity is yet to be established,” stated PRO Defence, Lt Col Suneel Bartwal, to Rising Kashmir. He further noted, “The operation is still in progress, and 2-3 terrorists are believed to be trapped in the ongoing operation.”The encounter commenced on Friday afternoon when security forces confronted the terrorists. The clash started between 2 PM and 3 PM, marking the initiation of the operation. During the operation, security forces recovered a cache of weapons, including AK-47 rifles, magazines, and live grenades at the encounter site. The search and combing operation continue as the security forces remain vigilant in the region.
