Srinagar, Oct 17: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha met with family members of terrorism victims from across North, Central, and South Kashmir at Raj Bhawan today.
During the meeting, the families recounted the harrowing incidents surrounding the brutal killings of their loved ones by various terrorist groups and urged the Lt Governor for intervention in resolving their long-standing issues.
Paying homage to the martyred civilians, the Lt Governor expressed his commitment to providing necessary support and assistance to the families who, despite enduring immense personal loss and hardship, have been excluded from the mainstream of development for decades.
“Instead of compassion and support, terrorism-affected families were marginalized, and their voices went unheard. I will do my utmost to ensure justice, welfare, and rehabilitation for these families,” Lt Governor Sinha stated.
He emphasised the resolve of security forces and the J&K Police to dismantle the terror ecosystem in the region. “Our security forces and J&K Police are committed to completely neutralizing terror groups and the terror ecosystem sponsored by neighbouring countries. At the same time, we will ensure that families targeted by terrorists and who were left behind receive all the assistance and support they deserve, and that their rights are protected,” he added.
