The security forces on Saturday busted a hideout in Wadder Bala area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the spot.
A senior police officer said during a search operation at Wadder Bala by parties of Army 21RR, Handwara Police and CRPF 92 Bn, a hideout of arms and ammunition was busted.
In the operation, following arms and ammunition have been recovered, Ak 47 02, Ak 56 01, Ak mag 16, Rds Ak. 328, Pistol 01, Mag pistol 02, Pistol rds 03, Ubgl. 01 and Ubgl rds 04.
Meanwhile in relation to this, FIR No 208/2023 has been registered at Police Station Handwara under relevant sections UAPA and Arms Act and investigation initiated.
