Srinagar, July 12: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on Friday conducted an Investor Awareness Program at Ellaquai Dehati Bank here.
Ashwini Bhatia, SEBI’s Whole-Time Member, in his keynote address, highlighted the significance of informed investment decisions and financial literacy.
The programme was conducted in the presence of Fayaz Ahmad Wani, Chairman of Ellaquai Dehati Bank, Amit Pradhan, Regional Director of SEBI and Gyanendra Niraj, DGM of SEBI, along with other dignitaries from the bank and SEBI.
Bhatia’s address focused on empowering investors with knowledge about market dynamics, investment opportunities, and regulatory safeguards designed to protect their interests. The programme aimed to educate local investors, including small and rural investors, about the importance of prudent financial planning and the benefits of a transparent and well-regulated market.
