The schools in Kashmir valley reopened on Monday after remaining closed for three months for the winter break.
Dressed in uniform, the students were seen making their way to school.
On the first day, the teachers welcomed the students and involved them in fun and extracurricular activities.
The winter break, which commenced on November 28, 2023, for students up to 8th grade and December 11, 2023, for those in 9th to 12th standard, came to an end as schools prepared to resume operations from March 1, 2024.
However, due to inclement weather forecasts predicting heavy rains and snowfall, the resumption of classes faced a two-day delay.
