Sarore toll Plaza :CCI calls for Jammu bandh on Aug 26

Jammu, Aug 24: The Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI)-Jammu, with support from trader organisations, transport union and Bar Association-Jammu, has given a call for Jammu bandh on Saturday, August 26, to protest against the collection of toll at Sarore Toll Plaza.
“We have given a call for Jammu bandh on Saturday, and various organisations like Bar Association, Transport Union and the civil society have assured their support for Jammu bandh,” President, CCI-Jammu, Arun Gupta told Rising Kashmir.
Meanwhile, protests against toll collection at Sarore Toll Plaza continued for the fourth consecutive day today at various places in Jammu. The Yuva Rajput Sabha is spearheading the protests.
Police have detained 26 members of Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) who are being kept under preventive custody in Kathua Jail. The protesters also held a demonstration at Tawi Bridge after which Police used mild force to disperse them to ensure smooth movement of the traffic.
