Srinagar, July 27: Hailing from Hiranagar of Kathua District, former First-Class Cricketer, Sarabjeet Singh, who has the distinction of representing both Jammu and Kashmir and Services teams at the Ranji Trophy, has attended the ‘Art of Coaching’ Workshop conducted by ‘Coaching Beyond’ at Hyderabad.
Legendary Cricketer, Cricket Commentator and Cricket Coach, Ravi Shastri is the Founder of ‘Coaching Beyond’, while former Indian Bowling and Fielding Coaches–Bharat Arun and R Sridhar are the Co-Founders and Kinjal Suratwala is the Head, Coach Education. All these Cricket experts delivered lectures and bestowed coaching tips to the participants.
Head Coach of J&K Under-25 Men’s team, Sarabjeet has the distinction of leading Jammu and Kashmir to the knockout stage in the U-25 Men’s State-A Trophy last season.
Apart from Coaching J&K U-25 team from last two seasons, the BCCI Level-2 Coach, Sarabjeet has the honour of Coaching Services’ and J&K Ranji Trophy teams, besides captaining the Services Ranji Trophy team for a long time.
Sarabjeet Singh has the honour of playing a big number of 91 First Class matches, 72 List A matches and 7 T20 matches as a wicketkeeper/batsman.
“Most of the time, I have worked with the cricketers representing the Services’ team and have succeeded in yielding better results, however, working with J&K cricketers has been a different experience. J&K possesses huge cricketing talent, which is being nurtured through a defined process under the supervision of Sub Committee JKCA including the dynamic trio of Brig Anil Gupta, Mithun Manhas and Advocate Sunil Sethi,” maintained Sarabjeet.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sarabjeet Singh has been instrumental in guiding and goading a good number of young cricketers from J&K to make it to the higher levels.
