Jammu, June 14: The North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Patiala, in collaboration with the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), Saturday organised the Sanskritik Yatra – Sindhu Darshan Festival at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu, as part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
MLA Vikram Randhawa, the Chief Guest, lauded the event for promoting national unity through cultural exchange. JKAACL Secretary Harvinder Kour welcomed the guests and emphasised the importance of preserving traditional arts and fostering communal harmony. The festival featured vibrant performances by over 100 artists from eight states and Union Territories, including—Ghadiyali from J&K, Bhangra and Jindua from Punjab, Ghoomer and Phag from Haryana, Bhawai from Rajasthan, Barsana Ki Holi and Mayur Raas from Uttar Pradesh, Bihu from Assam, Purulia Chhau from Jharkhand and a soul-stirring folk-Sufi performance by Mohd. Irshad from Punjab. The event concluded with resounding applause, reaffirming the role of cultural festivals in promoting national integration and celebrating India’s artistic legacy.
