Anantnag, July 13: As part of SANJY 2025 preparedness efforts and readiness of forces for any unseen eventuality, coordinated mock drills were successfully conducted across three key zones i.e, Sheeshnag, Panjtarni and the Holy Cave, demonstrating high-altitude rescue and emergency response capabilities.As per the statement issued, at Sheeshnag Camp, Zone 03, the drill was supervised by J&K Police and attended by 2 I/C ITBP. Multiple agencies including Fire & Emergency Services, ITBP Health, Civil Health, Intelligence agencies, and the Indian Army’s Maratha Light Infantry participated, focusing on inter-agency coordination and emergency preparedness. Zone No. 02 Panjtarni, SDRF, NDRF, BSF, JKAP and medical teams executed technical rope rescues and casualty evacuations in rugged terrain, highlighting trauma care and oxygen support capabilities.At the Holy Cave (Zone No. 01), similar high-altitude scenarios were simulated, with joint efforts showcasing quick response, rope rigging, and medical intervention. The exercises reinforced collective preparedness, operational synergy, and the commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Yatris in challenging conditions.
