The District Administration Samba, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, organized a grand cultural event on December 13, 2023, to pay tribute to Padmashri Padma Sachdev Ji, the first modern woman poet of Dogri language and a prominent advocate of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
The event, titled “Uttarvahini,” took place at the Bari Brahmana, District Samba and witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, artists, writers, students, and media persons.
Ms. Yasha Mudgal, the Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Cooperative Department, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
