Srinagar, Jan 11: The Directorate of Samagra Shiksha, J&K is all set to launch residential coaching from January 15 for the IIT & NEET 2024 exams to students currently enrolled in Class 12 of government schools in Jammu and Kashmir.
The coaching program is specifically meant for students from economically weaker sections (EWS) and the top performers in each district.
Deep Raj, the Project Director for Samagra Shiksha, J&K, informed Rising Kashmir that the coaching classes will kick off on January 15, 2024, lasting for approximately three months. The coaching will take place in Jammu and Srinagar, with 100 students from ten districts in the Jammu division and 100 students from ten districts in the Kashmir valley.
“Students participating in the program will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 9,000 for three months through the DBT mode, covering expenses such as food, accommodation, stationary, books, and other related costs,” he said, adding that the institute’s course fee will be covered by Samagra Shiksha, J&K.
In each district of the Union Territory, a total of 10 students from Economically Weaker Sections have been included in the program across the 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Project Director also informed that in each district of the Union Territory, a total of 10 students from the Economically Weaker Sections, have been included in the program across the 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Samagra Shiksha is an integrated scheme for school education aimed at providing quality education and enhancing learning outcomes for students across India.
Launched in 2018, it amalgamates various erstwhile centrally sponsored schemes like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education (TE). The program focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable education, covering school education from pre-school to class 12.
It has emerged as a beacon for transforming the educational landscape in India. By amalgamating various educational initiatives, it seeks to create a conducive and nurturing environment for students, fostering their overall development.
Samagra Shiksha’s impact on the educational ecosystem is expected to be far-reaching, contributing significantly to the nation’s progress through the empowerment of its youth.
