Srinagar, Mar 06: Peoples Conference President Sajad Gani Lone on Wednesday welcomed prominent political activist and former Block President from Budgam, Ghulam Mohammad Wangnoo, as he officially joined the party-fold along with several supporters, the party said.
The joining ceremony witnessed the presence of party members, including Provincial President Khursheed Alam, Constituency In-Charge Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Dar and District Secretary Budgam, the PC said in a statement.
In his welcoming address, Sajad commended Wangnoo’s political astuteness and praised his decision to align with the Peoples Conference, emphasizing that the addition of individuals from diverse ideological backgrounds into the party reflects its inclusive ethos and unwavering commitment to the people’s welfare.
“Peoples Conference serves as a platform where the voices of people from all sections and strata of society find resonance and representation. Our unity in diversity is not just a slogan but a living reality, as people from various walks of life are joining hands with us to collectively shape a brighter future for J&K,” the PC President remarked.
Lone encouraged the new entrant to actively disseminate the party’s message among the local populace and contribute to strengthening its presence in the region. “Every member’s contribution is akin to nurturing seeds in fertile soil, fostering our party’s growth towards progress and prosperity. I have no doubt that Mr Ghulam Mohammad’s joining will bolster our party base, given his dedication and popularity as a political activist within his circle,” he affirmed.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Wangnoo conveyed his eagerness to collaborate with the Peoples Conference in its “endeavours for the upliftment and empowerment of the people”.
