Srinagar, May 01: Six more candidates, including the People’s Conference President Sajad Gani Lone, have submitted their nomination papers for the Baramulla parliamentary constituency.
The other candidates are Suhail Ahmad Khan (Independent), Peerzada Mudasir Rashid Shah from the Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party (BHIM), Nazir Ahmad Sofi (Independent), and Mushtaq Ahmad Mir from the National Loktantrik Party.
This brings the total number of candidates contesting from the Baramulla constituency to ten, with four having already filed their nominations earlier.
Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will be submitting his nomination papers on Thursday, the party’s spokesperson said on Wednesday
It is believed that there would be a tough contest for the Baramulla Lok Sabha seat between Omar Abdullah and Sajad Lone.
