Srinagar, Aug 9: Two Members of JK Mountain Biking Association, Sajad Ahmad and Irfan Ahmad from Srinagar completed a 355 km cycling Distance in a single Day from Srinagar qazigund back to Srinagar then Sopore, Handawara, and back Srinagar in 16 hours 06 minutes, the whole distance was monitored by Garmin Fenix 5X.
The duo started their journey on August 9 at 4 am at Lalbazar Srinagar and successfully completed the expedition by reaching home safely. During the journey, the cyclists covered a total distance of 355 kilometres in 16 hours 06 minutes and broke the previous JKMBA Record of Yasir Makdoomi 300 km which will held before 10 days. Meanwhile both the riders are senior members of Jammu & Kashmir Mountain Biking Association.
President JKMBA Riyaz Wani and secretary Asif Bhat hailed the efforts of both the riders for completing the 355 km Single day distance challenge
“It was very difficult for us to ride for 355 km at this temperature of 34°c but our daily practice proved to complete all distance. I am thankful to Mushtaq Wani for giving full support during the whole day,” Sajad Ahmad said.
