Jammu, Nov 15: Sachika Kohli (Class X) of Delhi Public School Jammu bagged the coveted 3rd position and a cash prize of Rs 20,000 in Category-B in State Level Painting Competition on ‘Energy Conservation’ organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India held on Monday at NHPC Ltd. Jammu.
Around 100 students from J&K UT had participated in the said competition, out of which Sachika stood 3rd in the senior level category-B. She has also been selected for the National Level Painting Competition to be held later.
Another student, Drishti Singh (Class VII) won consolation prize of Rs 7500 in junior level Category-A in the same event. Both the students have also received Certificates of Merit.
Principal-DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra congratulated both the students and their teacher in charge, Mr. Suresh Kumar Sharma and encouraged them to persist in their efforts.
President-RCT, M K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Dr Kuwarani Ritu Singh and Director, S S Sodhi extended their best wishes to both the students and their parents and wished them success for their future endeavours.
