RTHC Kalantra gets high end USG machine

Baramulla, May 06: Prof. (Dr) Ruby Reshi, Principal GMC Baramulla on Saturday visited Rural Training Health Centre (RTHC) Kalantara which is field practice area of department of Community Medicine where he inaugurated high end USG machine.
A high end Colour doppler USG with latest features was procured and installed under the guidance of principal GMC Baramulla.
A Sonologist from Radiodiagnosis GMC Baramulla is deputed weekly for performing Ultrasound .
The inaugural function was attended by HOD Community Medicine. Prof. Abdul Majid Ganie, Dr Zahid, Dr Uruj( Assoc. Prof Community Medicine), staff of RTHC, community leaders and senior citizens.
This initiative is a step towards providing better diagnostic services at grassroot level as part of comprehensive clinical care at primary health level . This will help to improve the overall health delivery at primary health care level , as people need not to travel long distance to avail such facilities.
Senior citizens and community leaders were highly thankful to principal GMC Baramulla for such initiative.
