It was said that the KCCI was ordered to submit a copy of the licence by the RoC J&K as required under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 after the same licence was not found in the records.

“The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry was incorporated in 1937 as a ‘Not-for-Profit License Company’ under the jurisdiction of this office having its registered office situated at Residency Road, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir-190001, India.

The company needs to get a license under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 issued by the Competent Authority viz Regional Director (Northern Region), Ministry of Corporate Affairs,” reads an official communique issued to the KCCI.

“It is further observed by this office from the database of the company that License No./ copy of the license is not available in the “D” File/e-record of the company,” it added.

Therefore, the Chamber is directed to furnish the licence copy within a week without fail, the communique concluded.
