Srinagar Mar 01: Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) will be playing its last home game in Hero I-League 2022-2023 against Mumbai Kenkre FC on Thursday at the Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar.
Addressing a pre-match press conference, Technical Director, RKFC, Gifton Noel Williams, said the team is excited about playing tomorrow’s match. “We have been continuously winning matches. We know Mumbai Kenkre FC has some good players and play good football. But our players are well prepared to give their 100 percent and to win the match,” Williams said.
“We will be playing with the same attitude and philosophy that we have been playing over the last few games. For next season, if I stay with RKFC, I want to see this team number 1. Fitness level has been one of the concerns for players and we will work hard on fitness level of players in the next I-League season,” he said. In the last five matches, RKFC has won four matches and one ended with a draw.
In the last match the RKFC defeated Tiddim Road Athletic Union TRAU to register their second away win of the season in the Hero I-League 2022-23 at the Khuman Lampak Stadium in Imphal.
Mumbai Kenkre FC coach Akhil Kothari said Thursday’s match against RKFC will be a difficult one. “It is an important match for us. We know what challenges we are going to face while facing RKFC. The weather is different. But we are prepared to win maximum points,” he added.
The match is scheduled to start at 2 pm for which adequate seating and security arrangements have been made.
