Ganderbal, Jan 26: At the 75th Republic Day at Madr-e-Meharban Qamariya Sports Stadium Ganderbal, Rising Kashmir’s Ganderbal Correspondent, Umar Raina, was recognized for his outstanding contributions to journalism.
Raina was bestowed with an appreciation certificate for his commendable work, reflecting his unwavering dedication to societal betterment and upholding journalistic principles.
The ceremony, graced by Chief Guest DDC Chairperson Mst. Nuzhat Ishfaq, witnessed a vibrant Republic Day Parade, featuring participation from police officials, security forces, and students from various schools.
SDPO Kangan Dr Muzaffar Jan-JKPS commanded the parade, showcasing the disciplined march of contingents from District Police Ganderbal, Armed Police 14th Bn., CRPF 115th & 118th Bn., SSB, PTS Manigam, Fire Services, Home Guard, SPOs, and students.
Mst. Nuzhat Ishfaq, accompanied by SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar-IPS, unfurled the National Flag, leading the inspection of the parade and saluting the march past.
In her address, Chief Guest Mst. Nuzhat Ishfaq congratulated participants on the Republic Day and emphasized the importance of women empowerment, acknowledging the developmental works of Civil & Police Departments in District Ganderbal. Rich tributes were paid to the martyrs of Police and CAPF who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
