Srinagar, May 02: J&K Awami National Conference (ANC) has called upon the like-minded political parties to fight the “dictatorial and divisive policies” of the “RSS-backed Government of India” and fight for the restoration of the constitutional status of Jammu & Kashmir.
In an important meeting of the members of the Advisory Committee (Core Committee) of the party, it was announced by ANC Senior vice president Muzaffar Shah in strong and clear words that the ANC is ready to fight the “anti-people activities of the current rulers” on all fronts, a party statement issued here said.
Shah appealed to all the political, social and other nationalist units to fight the current political situation effectively and meaningfully in a united manner. He urged them to fight against the elements that put a dent in the mutual unity.
“It is in mutual unity that the survival of our national identity, constitutional guarantee, our culture and the existence of mutual tolerance can be achieved,” he said.
In the context of the prevailing circumstances, the ANC will be taking several urgent steps to make its ranks stronger and more effective, along with the reorganisation of the party structure in Jammu & Kashmir, Shah said, adding that the party will also activate its units in Kargil and Leh.
“The official announcement of the future plan of action will be made in the Kashmir Provincial meet scheduled to be held in Srinagar on May 8, 2023, under the directions of the party president Begum Khalida Shah. The preparations for this one-day session are being given the final touches under the command of the party General Secretary and the ANC core committee,” he said.
