Residents seek development, civic amenities in Sonawar Constituency: DPAP Leader

Democratic Progressive Azad party senior leader Mohammad Altaf Dar on Thursday urged the administration for taking urgent steps to upgrade and streamline the basic civic amenities for the habitants of Sonwar Constituency. 

 

 

In a statement issued here, Democratic Progressive Azad party senior leader Mohammad Altaf Dar said that the residents of Sonwar Constituency comprising of Padshahi bagh,Kursoo,Pathan bagh,Khuj bagh,Kanil pora, Armwari, Khonmoh, Zaffran Colony,Balhama,Lasjan etc are still yearning for development works and other basic facilities including Parks, Parking Facilities, Marriage Hall, Fire station,schools, community centre and hospital in the area. 

 

“People of the constituency Called On DPAP Leader Mohammad Altaf Dar and apprised him as no development work has been carried out for a long in these areas”, it reads.

 

 

They alleged that funds of above said areas were not being used properly resulting in the entire area looking too shabby.

 

 

Mohammad Altaf Dar said that the whole area as mentioned are in a dilapidated condition due to the lack of periodical development works in these areas.

 

Dar further said that it is the fundamental right of citizens to enjoy basic amenities.

 

He urged the administration for taking urgent steps to upgrade and streamline the basic civic amenities for the habitants.           

 

DPAP Leader Mohammad Altaf Dar said that street lights in these areas are also non functional which eventually causes security problems for the people during night hours.

 

 

” The area has been ignored for a long time.Roads and bylanes are dilapidated. Sewerage system needs upgradation, Marriage Hall,Fire Station, schools,parking facility and parks in these areas are the basic requirements.” said Altaf Dar.
