Residential house gutted in Sopore fire mishap

Baramulla, Jan 10: A residential house was gutted in a massive fire incident in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday afternoon, an official said.
Mohammad Akbar, an official of the Fire and Emergency Service department told Rising Kashmir that a massive fire broke out in a single storey residential house in Maqeem Shaheed Mir area of Sopore on Monday afternoon.
He said that the fire engulfed the single storey house of Mohammad Shaban Ganai son of Ghulam Ahmad Ganai destroying it completely.
The official said that several teams of the Fire and Emergency Services department were rushed to the spot to douse the flames in order to minimize the damage.
“With the help of locals, the firefighters doused the flames within no time. However, in this incident a residential house was damaged and property worth lakhs got destroyed,” Mohammad Akbar added.
He said that the cause of the fire was known immediately.
