The Lt Governor Manoj Sinha led Administration has announced the regularization of 800 engineers in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. This move has been met with overwhelming gratitude from various quarters, including the J&K Civil Engineering Graduate Association.

Expressing their appreciation, the association stated, “We are highly thankful to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, his administration, including Chief Secretary, and Shaleen Kabra for this historic decision. It is because of their efficiency and hard work that such a decision has been taken by the administration.”

This decision has brought immense happiness and excitement to the engineering community in Jammu and Kashmir. It not only resolves a long-pending issue but also offers job security to several engineers who were on the verge of retirement.

Furthermore, the J&K Civil Engineering Graduate Association highlighted another significant development in the Jal Shakti Department over the past year. They noted, “One more significant development has taken place in the Jal Shakti Department in the past one year is that over 1,400 regularizations have taken place in the department, which is historic.”

They said that this decision to regularize engineers is seen as a positive step toward enhancing job stability and promoting efficiency in various government departments in the UT.(KNS).
