Kargil, Nov 15: In a significant move towards bolstering its police force, Ladakh commenced the recruitment process for 298 constables at Khree Sultan Cho Stadium in Kargil.
Following a similar recruitment drive in Leh, the entire process is being meticulously supervised by the Head of Police Force Ladakh, ADGP S D Singh Jamwal-IPS.
Speaking to the media, SSP Stanzin Nurbu, Chairman of the Recruitment Board, emphasized the adoption of a completely transparent recruitment policy.
The process kicks off with the biometric identification of candidates, ensuring a foolproof verification method. Physical Standard Tests include height measurements using digital height measuring machines, and candidates wear RFD jackets with BIP numbers, allowing for accurate tracking throughout the process.
During the running test, the RFD jacket’s chip is monitored by sensors, capturing precise data on the candidates’ performance. CCTV cameras comprehensively cover all events, ensuring transparency and accountability at every stage.
For female candidates, the run consists of 05 rounds, while male candidates undergo 08 rounds. The final time and results are promptly printed by the system-attached printer.
The last phase involves meticulous documentation verification, with officers assigned to scrutinize and authenticate all relevant documents submitted by the candidates. Nurbu shared that an impressive 9860 candidates have applied, showcasing the enthusiastic participation in the recruitment process.
While expressing the commitment to a transparent and accountable recruitment process, Nurbu cautioned the public against falling victim to promises of selection in exchange for money or other favours.
