Jammu, July 6: The first phase of selection trials for the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Sub-Junior Men’s Hockey Team witnessed a record 87 participants at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium, Jammu, ahead of the 15th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship to be held in Chennai from July 28 to August 8.As per a statement here, organised by Hockey J&K, the trials reflected the growing enthusiasm for the sport and effective grassroots development. The event was conducted under the supervision of Tajinder Singh, Secretary, Hockey J&K, who applauded the young athletes and credited the success to tireless efforts of coaches and district-level organisers. President Gurdeep Singh Sangral and the J&K Sports Council were acknowledged for their continued support in reviving hockey in the region and providing infrastructure for talent development.
