Range police HQRS Rajouri organised run for unity against drugs

In order to counter the increasing menace of drugs among the youth and the masses as well as to prevent the abuse and growing drug addiction in the society, RPHQ Rajouri organised a Mega Run for Unity against Drugs at Poonch today.

As a part of the Civic Action Programme and in order to spread awareness about drug abuse in the society, today on 27th of March,2023 a march RUN FOR UNITY – AGAINST DRUGS to spread the message, say No to drugs & Yes to Life was organized by RPHQ Rajouri.

There was a gathering of around five hundred which includes members of civil society, members of different NGOs, students from different schools and college besides police, armed police and CRPF.

The march started from DPO Poonch, traversed through Purani Poonch, Bus Stand, Eid Gah Chowk, Dungas and culminated at DPL Poonch.

Prominent youth leaders from different Political parties and Social groups of Poonch also participated along with their teams/groups in the event.

The march was flagged off by Sh. Mushim Ahmad, Additional SP Poonch.Dysp DAR poonch-Mohammad Shafiq -Dy. SP Hqrs Afrat hussain were also present.

At the culmination, Addl. SP thanked the participants for exhibiting tremendous enthusiasm and support in spreading this noble message amongst the masses.

This Civic Action Programme is part of a series of efforts under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan being made by J&K Police to spread awareness about drug abuse and addiction……
