Pulwama, Mar 10: Vishal Bharat Shansthan J&K has extended a helping hand to impoverished residents in the Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
State Chairman of the organisation Ishfaq Hassan said that recognizing the economic hardships faced by many individuals, especially during this sacred period, they distributed vital food packets to those in dire need.
“The distributed food packets, comprising essential items like rice, mustard oil, sugar, lentils and grams have been carefully selected to meet the nutritional needs of the recipients,” he said, adding that these provisions aim to provide sustenance and comfort to families grappling with economic adversity, particularly those classified under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.
Ishfaq said the beneficiaries were identified based on their economic status, ensuring that aid reaches those who need it the most.
“The local community leaders were involved in this programme who played a crucial role in contributing to the transparency and accountability of the distribution efforts,” he said.
Vishal Bharat Shansthan said it is committed to serving humanity transcending geographical boundaries, and upholds the spirit of unity and compassion.
