Srinagar, Jan 02: Stating that Rajouri attack will be “avenged with full force”, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today said an enquiry will be initiated to investigate the security lapses.
Speaking to the media after meeting the family members of civilians killed in the attack on Sunday, Sinha said they will avenge the Rajouri attack with full force.
“All measures will be taken to protect everyone. The families have raised few concerns. We will address all their concerns. We held a meeting and some decisions have been made. We will investigate the matter from all possible angles. It is an inhuman act and those responsible will be punished,” he said.
Sinha said questions have been raised over security lapses and an enquiry committee will be initiated. “The administration and security agencies will probe the incident thoroughly and that justice will be delivered,”he said.
The LG said that there will be impactful actions in the area and those who committed the crime will face equal punishment.
He assured that all measures will be taken to protect people not only here but elsewhere too, wherever it is needed.
He said there is no compensation for the loss of precious lives, but it is the moral responsibility of the administration to reach out to the bereaved families and express solidarity.
