Rains lash parts of Kashmir, intermittent rains predicted ahead

After a long heatwave and dry spell, rains have lashed parts of Kashmir due to which there is dip in temperature.

Meteorological department officials said that there are chances of intermittent rains till August 07.

He said that on 29th July , there would be generally cloudy weather with intermittent spell of Light to moderate Rain/thundershower at many places of Kashmir Division & at most places of Jammu Division.

On 30-31st July, he said generally cloudy with intermittent spells of Light to moderate Rain/thundershower at many places of Kashmir Division & widespread places of Jammu Division is expected.

From 1-7th August, he said generally cloudy with Spells of intermittent light to moderate Rain/thundershower at many places of Kashmir Division & most places of Jammu Division is expected.

In an advisory, MeT department said that Intense showers for brief period with possibility of Flash floods/Cloud bursts/Landslides/Mudslides and shooting stones over vulnerable places of J&K with possibility of heavy Rainfall at few places of Jammu Division are possible.(KS)
