Jammu, Feb 20: Inclement weather conditions and incessant rain played a spoilsport, washing out Quarter-Final and the Semi-Final matches of the first Sikh Premier Cricket League, which were scheduled to be played at University of Jammu grounds, today.
As per the fixture, the Quarter-Final match between Janta Warriors Cricket Club and Dashmesh Cricket Club was scheduled to be played in the morning session today, while the
Semi-Final match between Veenu Cricket Club Tral and Hari Singh Nalwa Cricket Club was to be played in the evening session. The tournament in which ten teams are taking part, is being organised by Hari Singh Nalwa Cricket Club, under the banner of Sikh Coordination Committee Jammu and Kashmir. Now, the organisers have decided to hold three matches tomorrow with one Quarter-Final and two Semi-Finals.

The tournament is being organised under the overall supervision of Ajit Singh, Chairman Sikh Coordination Committee Jammu and Kashmir, while the matches are being officiated by a panel of experts drawn from the Department of Youth Services and Sports including Suresh Singh, Jagtar Singh, Satpal Singh, Venus, Gurvinder Singh (all Umpires) and Rajesh Dhar (Match Referee). “We have covered the pitch properly so it would not be affected by the rains. Moreover, the organisers are on the job to make the outfield drier and ready for the match. Our aim is to provide good facilities to the players,” said Sdr Ajit Singh, Chairman Sikh Coordination Committee Jammu and Kashmir.
Today’s Fixture:
Quarter Final:
Janta Warriors Vs
Dashmesh Cricket Club (7:00 am)
1st Semi-Final
Veenu Cricket Club Tral Vs Hari Singh Nalwa Cricket Club (10:30 am)
2nd Semi-Final:
