Jammu, Aug 03: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary, Tarun Chugh on Sunday accused the top Congress leaders of deliberately crafting a disruptive and anti-national narrative across the country.Taking strong exception to the statements made by Rahul Gandhi regarding former Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Chugh, in a statement issued here, said, “It is shameful that Gandhi made bizarre claims about receiving a threat from a man who was no longer alive.””Is dementia catching up with Rahul Gandhi?” he asked. “Such comments are not just indecent, they’re a disgrace to the nation’s grace.”Chugh also slammed AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge for “bending over backwards solely to please the Gandhi family by making disruptive remarks over constitutional offices”.“Kharge’s job now seems to be limited to echoing whatever narrative the Congress high command scripts for him. Even at the cost of undermining democratic institutions, he’s willing to oblige,” he said. The BJP leader said that instead of playing a constructive role as an Opposition, the Congress is bent upon indulging in an anti-national narrative. “Their entire agenda today is driven by obstruction, confusion, and desperation,” he saidChugh also took on Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for questioning the Election Commission’s exercise of identifying fake votes in Bihar. “The INDI alliance has no faith in democracy — all it knows is how to mislead the public with rumours and manufacture artificial fear. Spreading lies and playing the victim is an old tactic of the INDI alliance, but the people of India have seen through their game now,” he said.
