Jammu, Nov04: Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha Friday met the family members of Kashmiri Pandit (KP) Puran Kishan Bhatt, who was killed by the terrorists in Shopian on October 15, and assured them that his assassinators would be brought to book very soon.
Brother-in-law of Puran Kishan Bhatt, Ashok Kumar Raina told Rising Kashmir that the LG met with Sweety Bhatt, the wife of deceased Puran Kishan Bhatt and other family members at their Muthi based residence and told them that the security agencies have almost cracked the case of killing of her husband “and within two to three days the culprits would be brought to book.”
Raina said that Sweety Bhatt herself demanded from the Lieutenant Governor that she wants to see the killers of her husband dead. To this, Raina said, the LG assured her that she will get justice.
Asked what demands did the family members of Puran Kishan Bhatt put up with the Lieutenant Governor, he (Raina) said, his sister (Sweety Bhatt) primarily demanded a permanent government job for herself, ex-gratia and support in further education of her wards to which the LG agreed and assured that every possible help would be provided by the LG administration.
LG Sinha himself took to Twitter to share the news about providing a permanent government job to the wife of Puran Kishan Bhatt.
“Met the family members of martyr Shri Puran Krishan Bhat Ji at their residence in Jammu and offered my condolences. Administration to provide a permanent Govt job to his wife and every possible help to the family,” tweeted the office of Lieutenant Governor.
