Srinagar, March 06: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir announced on Thursday that there are approved positions for Punjabi lecturers in 30 Higher Secondary Schools throughout the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
In response to a question posed by Dr. Narinder Singh Raina in the Assembly, the minister in charge of the school education department stated that Punjabi has been incorporated as a subject within the Humanities faculty in various educational institutions across the Union Territory at the Higher Secondary level. “The Ministry of Education confirmed that there are sanctioned posts for Punjabi lecturers in 30 Higher Secondary Schools across the UT of J&K.”
Nevertheless, there is a shortage of Punjabi teaching lecturers and educators in the schools where Punjabi is being offered.
