Chandigarh, June 13: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Thursday said the Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann has been violating all constitutional norms and practices by defying the Punjab Governor.
Chugh in a statement said the AAP chief minister has “repeatedly ignored” the inquiries for which the Governor has solicited his cooperation. “It is tantamount to deliberately showing disgrace to the Governor and setting a disturbance trend in Punjab,” he said. “Instead of focusing on the serious law and order issues, the Punjab chief minister is abetting disruptive elements with his unconstitutional actions.”
The BJP leader said Mann and AAP chief Aravind Kejriwal are “habitual offenders against constitutional posts”. “It was for the first time in Punjab that a chief minister is setting examples of his disruptive and unconstitutional behavior,” he said.
